Sparrow Group was born from a simple conviction: thriving communities don’t happen by accident. They are built when people, organizations, businesses, and leaders choose to work together for something bigger than themselves.

Together, Andreas and Sarah Steffensen bring more than 50 years of experience serving nonprofits, churches, businesses, entrepreneurs, and civic organizations across the United States and around the world. Their work has taken them from local neighborhoods to international initiatives, but the purpose has remained the same: helping people flourish.

Originally from Denmark, Andreas has invested decades in leadership development, vocational training, entrepreneurship, international missions, and economic development. His passion is helping people discover purpose, build healthy organizations, and create opportunities that strengthen families and communities for generations.

Sarah has spent her career leading complex nonprofit organizations, building strategic partnerships, and bringing diverse groups together to address community challenges. From coordinating disaster response and launching community initiatives to strengthening organizational systems and helping organizations grow sustainably, she is passionate about practical solutions that create lasting impact.

Throughout their work, Andreas and Sarah have served alongside churches, business owners, government agencies, first responders, educational institutions, philanthropists, and community leaders. Their experience has reinforced a central belief: no single organization can solve today’s challenges alone. Lasting transformation happens when people and organizations work together around a shared purpose.

As parents and grandparents, Andreas and Sarah are also deeply shaped by their family. It continues to influence the values behind everything they build—stewardship, generosity, excellence, integrity, and genuine care for people.

Sarah founded Sparrow Group in 2020 to help nonprofit and ministry organizations launch, strengthen, and grow. As the work expanded, so did the vision.

Today, Sparrow Group is a nonprofit organization built on a sustainable model. Through Sparrow Ventures, we create purpose-driven enterprises that generate resources, relationships, and opportunities. Through Sparrow Development, we put those resources to work by investing in people, developing leaders, strengthening families, supporting organizations, and building flourishing communities.

Whether we are launching a new venture, advising a nonprofit, revitalizing a neighborhood, equipping leaders, or bringing unlikely partners together around a common mission, our goal remains the same:
